Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the technical and clerical staff assigned within the laboratory
  • Coordinating the performance of routine and special procedures with available manpower, equipment and reagent/supply sources
  • Monitoring turnaround times to insure timely availability of results to patient care areas
  • Training of new hires
  • Monitoring quality control and quality assurance metrics to insure accurate resulting and patient safety
  • Maintaining skills in associated areas of responsibility
  • Performing and assisting in a variety of administrative activities related to assigned clinical sections
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology program from an accredited institution required
  • Blood Bank experience required
  • ASCP or equivalent certification preferred, ASCP eligibility required
  • Previous supervisory experience or leadership role preferred
  • Satisfies education and experience requirements as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA)
COMPENSATION:
  • Base Salary – USD $50,000 to $75,000
