SURGICAL TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates ability, knowledge, and appropriate technical skills when assigned to various procedures in accordance with AORN Standards and SCHC policies and procedures.

Demonstrates necessary skills and knowledge to work with equipment.

Operates mechanical, electrical and air-powered equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines and ensures proper functioning prior to use.

Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner.

Demonstrates necessary skills and knowledge regarding aseptic technique

Qualifications:

Completion and eligibility for certification from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

Experience: Prior operating room experience as a surgical technologist preferred.
